Their East Coast operation employs approximately 170 team members and delivers large-scale base building work, corporate interiors, and self-perform concrete projects across Northern Virginia and the greater D.C. metropolitan region. In this role, you will lead commissioning efforts across major commercial and mission-critical projects, ensuring systems performance meets design intent and client expectations. You'll work closely with project teams, field personnel, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders to drive quality, compliance, and successful project turnover. Job Description The Commissioning Manager - Mission Critical - NoVA will: Manage commissioning processes from preconstruction through project completion. Review and validate MEP, HVAC, electrical, and system documentation for compliance. Oversee functional testing, issue resolution, and systems optimization. Coordinate closely with project management, field teams, and trade partners. Prepare and maintain commissioning logs, reports, testing records, and turnover packages. Conduct site inspections to verify installation and system readiness. Lead commissioning meetings, ensuring all stakeholders remain aligned. Support continuous improvement initiatives and enforce company quality standards. The Successful Applicant The Commissioning Manager - Mission Critical - NoVA will have: 5-10 years of commissioning experience (general contractor, trades-HVAC/MEP/electrical-or client-side backgrounds all welcome). Strong understanding of building systems and the commissioning lifecycle. Ability to lead testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Experience with large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects is a plus.
