Role: Business Analyst Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) Duration 6+ Months Contract Role Summary The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business needs and translating them into scalable, automated system solutions. This role involves defining system scope and objectives based on user requirements, industry best practices, and an understanding of existing business systems. The BA will support the design and configuration of system features, contribute to integration and acceptance testing, and develop clear documentation outlining functional and technical requirements. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business goals and sizing expectations. Responsibilities Analyze business requirements and identify opportunities for automation and process optimization. Translate user needs into detailed system requirement specifications. Configure system settings and support solution design activities. Collaborate with engineering, product, and UX teams to define actionable requirements. Support integration workflows and coordinate user acceptance testing. Document requirements, workflows, and functional specifications. Troubleshoot integration issues and work effectively with technical teams. Proactively identify roadblocks and drive resolutions. Required Skills Solid experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Strong familiarity with JIRA, Atlassian tools, and collaboration platforms like Slack. Ability to work across cross-functional teams including Product, UX, and Engineering. Hands-on experience conducting UAT and validating requirement completeness. Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to manage complex business requirements and translate them into scalable solutions. Key Technical Experience Integration and API knowledge - ability to diagnose integration issues and support technical teams. Background in payment systems or Point-of-Sale (POS) environments. Experience with both hardware and software solutions is highly preferred. Performance Metrics (KPI/SLA) Performance will be assessed at a project level, with focus on: Quality and clarity of documented requirements Stakeholder/customer satisfaction Number of tickets requiring rework Volume and severity of defects or bugs Education Certification in Business Analysis, Product Management, or a related discipline from a recognized institution, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
