Local Cdl-A Delivery Driver Home Daily Join a stable, employee-owned building materials company delivering lumber and construction supplies to local customer sites. This is a full-time local driving role with steady year-round work, automatic transmission trucks, and no overnight routes. Drivers return home daily and work predictable construction-industry delivery schedules. Compensation & Schedule $26.00 $34.00 per hour (based on experience) Overtime is available where applicable Typical early-morning dispatch consistent with construction delivery schedules Full-time, steady local routes Why Join Our Team Home daily local routes only Employee-owned company with long-term career opportunities Automatic transmission fleet Stable, full-time construction industry work Primary Responsibilities Deliver lumber and building materials to customer job sites and company locations Operate mostly flatbed trucks with automatic transmission Secure loads safely using straps, chains, binders, or covers Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections Verify delivery paperwork and obtain required customer confirmations Communicate with dispatch and supervisors as needed using company-provided systems Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures Assist with unloading when required; many deliveries use forklift or roll-off methods Maintain professional and courteous interaction with customers and coworkers Minimum Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Acceptable motor vehicle record meeting company safety standards Ability to safely secure and transport flatbed loads Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions Commitment to safe driving practices and compliance with DOT requirements Preferred Experience Prior delivery experience in building materials, flatbed hauling, or local route delivery Familiarity with load securement for construction materials Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to approximately 75 pounds when required Ability to safely secure cargo and work outdoors in varying conditions Must be able to perform all duties in compliance with company, local, state, and federal safety regulations Employment Requirements Successfully pass DOT drug screening and physical examination Background check and motor vehicle record review required Must maintain a valid CDL and safe driving record throughout employment
