Description - What You'll Do Conduct both routine and advanced laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-while following established procedures. Evaluate test results for precision, address any discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment. Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for testing when necessary. Document procedures meticulously, train new staff or students, and help uphold the quality standards of the laboratory. Ensure a safe and clean workspace while adhering to regulatory guidelines and accreditation requirements. Education Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent allied health qualification plus ASCP/AMT certification preparation. Certifications ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be acquired within one year of employment. Maintain your certification for the duration of your employment. Skills Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with healthcare teams. Able to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving capabilities in dynamic or high-pressure environments.
