JOB TITLE: HSEManager About the Role The HSE Manager is responsible for implementing andoverseeing all aspects of safety on the job site, ensuring compliance withcompany policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards (OSHA, ANSI,NFPA, etc.). This role provides leadership in hazard mitigation, incidentprevention, and training while reporting directly to the HSE Program Manager.Strong leadership, strategic problem-solving, and effective communicationskills are critical for success in this role. Roles and Responsibilities SafetyProgram Implementation & Compliance Implement and enforcesafety policies, procedures, and programs at the job site. Ensure compliance withOSHA regulations, client safety requirements, and site-specific policies. Conduct routine siteaudits and inspections to identify hazards and verify compliance. Coordinate withproject managers, subcontractors, and field supervisors to proactively addresssafety concerns. Serve as a liaisonbetween the owner and other trades onsite to ensure compliance with safetyrequirements. Maintain thoroughdocumentation of safety compliance efforts, audit results, and correctiveactions. Develop and maintain asafety compliance schedule for audits, inspections, and training sessions. Ensure allsafety-related permits and approvals are obtained and maintained. Implement correctiveactions to mitigate delays and maintain project compliance. Use performance datato drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance site safetyperformance. Regularly review andrefine safety policies based on lessons learned and industry best practices. HazardIdentification & Risk Mitigation Ensure theSite-Specific Health and Safety Plan (SSHSP) is current and applicable to allwork activities. Conduct and review JobHazard Analyses (JHAs) to ensure completion before work begins. Oversee the completionand review of Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) and JHAs prior to job execution. Implement and enforcesite-specific safety plans, ensuring hazards are identified and mitigated. Oversee the proper useof PPE, fall protection, and other required safety equipment. Develop and enforceemergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and drills. Ensure allsubcontractors on-site have been vetted, are approved, and remain in compliancewith safety requirements through regular follow-ups and audits. Coordinate with localemergency responders, medical personnel, and fire departments to ensureemergency procedures are understood and followed. Conduct emergencydrills to ensure readiness for potential crises and improve response times. Ensure all employeesand contractors are trained on emergency evacuation routes and procedures. IncidentResponse & Documentation Lead investigations ofincidents, near misses, and injuries, conducting root cause analysis andimplementing corrective actions. Prepare and submitdetailed incident reports to the Regional Program Manager and clientrepresentatives as required. Track trends in siteincidents, analyze root causes, and develop proactive strategies to reduce riskexposure. Ensure timelyreporting and compliance with all regulatory and client-mandated incidentresponse protocols. Establish continuousimprovement measures to prevent recurring incidents. Training& Workforce Development Conduct site safetyorientations for all new workers, including subcontractors. Lead daily and weeklysafety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety stand-downs as necessary. Provide hands-ontraining for workers on hazard recognition, emergency response, and bestpractices. Maintain and managesafety training records, certifications, and compliance documents. Ensure all personnelreceive refresher training on key safety topics and emerging hazards. Communication& Safety Culture Development Work closely withforemen, tradespeople, and project supervisors to reinforce safetyexpectations. Report safetyconcerns, corrective actions, and compliance status to the Site HSE Manager. Ensure all workers areaware of site safety policies, emergency procedures, and hazard reportingprotocols. Maintain and organizeall safety-related documentation, including inspection reports, trainingrecords, and incident logs, ensuring readiness for internal and externalaudits. Act as the primarysafety liaison between field personnel, client safety representatives, andproject management. Maintain consistentcommunication with all stakeholders, providing safety updates and addressingconcerns. Facilitatecollaboration between project teams, subcontractors, and regulatoryauthorities. Site HSE Supervisor Direct Reports: Site HSE Supervisor Site HSE Supervisor: Site HSE Associate Indirect Oversight: Oversees field workers'compliance through Site HSE Supervisor Site HSE Supervisor: Monitors field personnel and supportstraining efforts Qualifications & ExperienceRequired 5+ years of safety experience in construction or industrialenvironments. OSHA #500 or 502 - Trainer Course in Occupational Safety andHealth Standards for the Construction Industry. Has the capability to teach in front of anaudience. Safety specific knowledge in the followingareas is required: Fall Protection Mobile Elevated Work Platforms Electrical Safety Proven experience as a Safety Manager in asimilar industry. History of managing safetyprofessionals. Data Center experience as a safetyprofessional In-depth knowledge of safety regulationsand best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solvingskills. knowledge of safety managementsystems Excellent communication and interpersonalskills. Can talk to a technician in one minute andturn around and have a conversation with a VP or higher in the nextminute. Relevant certifications (e.g., CertifiedSafety Professional) are a plus. The minimum salary for the Project Admin / Coordinator position is $55,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Project Admin / Coordinator position is $60,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
