Power BI Developer

Location: Wilmington, DEIntroduction We are seeking a skilled professional with deep expertise in PowerBI development and a strong background in enterprise software/toolchain management. This role involves architecting, building, and delivering management reports that provide actionable insights on toolchain adoption, maturity, and organizational impact. Required Skills & Qualifications Applicants must be able to work directly for our company on a W2 basis. Minimum 4 years of experience in software engineering, BI/reporting, or analytics, with at least 3 years focused on advanced PowerBI development in enterprise environments. Deep expertise in crafting BI solutions reporting on enterprise software development ecosystems, toolchain adoption, and DevOps maturity. Proven experience with connecting PowerBI to various toolchain platforms and designing KPIs for adoption, onboarding, and usage. Advanced skills in DAX, Power Query/M, and complex data modeling for management-level reporting. Strong data integration skills: ETL, API data extraction, direct query, and on-prem/cloud data source integration. Excellent communication skills and experience working with technical and business stakeholders at all levels. Subject matter expertise in enterprise DevOps, SDLC/ALM toolchains, engineering productivity tooling, or related reporting domains. Experience directly supporting executive or board-level reporting initiatives. Client PowerBI and/or Power Platform certification. Experience in highly regulated or financial services environments. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Architect, develop, and maintain advanced PowerBI dashboards and reports that deliver analytics on enterprise toolchain adoption and usage patterns. Collaborate directly with engineering, operations, and transformation teams to gather requirements and define key metrics. Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert in toolchain reporting, with strong knowledge of common tools and connected data sources. Integrate data from multiple sources into the PowerBI ecosystem using advanced data transformations and DAX. Partner closely with business and IT leadership to present findings and recommend action items. Mentor and coach junior engineers and analysts in best practices for both PowerBI and toolchain reporting.
