Administrative Specialist (Logistics Industry) Location: Baltimore, MD 21224 (Canton/Greektown area) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Reports to: President / Vice President Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire Permanent Salary Range: $42,000-$45,000 annually Work Environment: Fully on-site Attendance: Critically important Position Overview The Administrative Specialist (Logistics) provides comprehensive administrative and operational support for all warehouse and transportation office functions. This role supports data entry, inventory control, scheduling, customer service, driver check-ins, and general office administration. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment. Key Responsibilities Data & Inventory Enter and verify data in Excel and the warehouse management system (WMS) with accuracy and precision. Complete all data entry tasks within required timelines and handle large volumes of data efficiently. Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records, including inbound and outbound movement. Assist in documenting and communicating quality control issues. Administrative & Office Support Provide administrative and reception coverage, including phone support, mail processing, filing, photocopying, and label printing. Support customer scheduling and internal coordination. Provide administrative support to leadership, including calendar/diary management for the President . Perform general office duties to ensure smooth daily operations. Logistics Support Provide booth services for drivers checking in for warehouse pickups. Support drayage and dispatch functions by communicating with drivers and tracking cargo arrivals at the port. Assist with customer appointment scheduling and transportation coordination. Qualifications High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred . 3+ years of office administration experience . 3+ years of data entry experience with strong accuracy and speed. 2+ years of warehouse or inventory experience preferred . Experience in logistics, warehousing, or transportation environments strongly preferred. Skills & Competencies Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and inventory/WMS software. Strong mathematical ability and basic financial skills. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently with a collaborative team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Reliability and consistent attendance are essential for success.
