Customer Service Associate - Grocery

Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Responsible for bagging groceries efficiently at the checkout while ensuring items are not damaged. Strive to bag at least five items per bag, employing best practices for using reusable, plastic, and paper bags. Assist customers by removing items from their bascart for checkout. Offer to help load grocery bags into customer vehicles. Perform basic shelf conditioning to ensure product presentation. Inform customers of current grocery specials. Return any unpurchased merchandise to store shelves. Collect and return bascarts to their designated areas. Ensure cleanliness by cleaning spills and picking up trash within the store and parking lot. Maintain all areas of the store in a clean and orderly fashion. Assist in handling and assembling seasonal merchandise. Be knowledgeable about the store layout to help locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers. Follow safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions or accidents to management. Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines. Conduct preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting any issues. Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product-related questions. Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful setting. Manage conflict in a calm and non-confrontational manner. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information. Follow instructions and seek assistance when needed to resolve customer and business issues. Provide support to all customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
