Surgical Technologist First Assist Certified - CSTFA

Communicates the surgeon's preferences and specific patient needs to surgical team. Assists in positioning, prepping and draping of patients for surgical procedures. Provides retraction of tissues and organs for optimal visualization with regard to the surgical site. Assists with selecting equipment, holding incisions open, controlling bleeding, closing incisions and performing other technical duties.Minimum Qualifications:Other information:Required Education: HS Graduate or Equivalent GED and Surgical Technology First Assist CertificateRequired License/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) Certification.Required Experience: At least 3 years' experience as a Surgical Tech and 1-year Surgical First Assistant experience.Education:Essential: Education Information in Comments Education equivalent experience:Essential: Please reference "Other Information" section on the job description for required Education details.
