Job Description Position Summary: Life Cycle Engineering is seeking an entry level Logistician in Naval Acquisition and In-Service Logistics to join our team in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) Code 311 & 317, Logistic Product Support Management and Logistics Product Readiness Branches. The position requires experience and knowledge of Navy Logistic Products and an understanding of Hull Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) equipment. The individual should be able to work with existing team members to assist in the development of monthly briefs and data calls pertaining to, but not limited to, HM&E Technical Manuals (TMs), Planned Maintenance (PMS), Provisioning (Allowance Parts Lists (APLs), Allowance Equipage Lists (AELs), National Stock Numbers (NSNs), drawings, etc.), Engineering Operational Sequencing System (EOSS) as well as Contract Deliverable Requirement List (CDRL) deliverables. Primary responsibilities will be developing reports, tracking actions items, and assisting with the modification of logistic products. Contract Requirements: Must have a Department of Defense secret clearance level or be able to acquire one. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Fundamental knowledge of Client tasking, ability to Assist in the Execution of Program / Platform Initiatives Assist in Identifying Requirements and Provide Recommendations to Senior Personnel Support LPD-17 Class lead by communicating with PMS321, 377, Code 311, 317, ISEAs, SMEs and other Warfare Centers or Navy activities as necessary for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) related issues. Track CDRL deliverables and ILS action items until completion. Prepare briefs and status reports for monthly meetings, summits, Strike Team meetings, etc. Engage and coordinate with NSWCPD ILS Leads. Participate in monthly PMS321 ILS drumbeat and PMS377 Strike Team meetings. Investigate and analyze of technical data to determine resolution for ILS deficiencies. Develop redlines of logistic products based on Engineer and Subject Matter Expert input. Provide Task Planning Sheet input to support yearly requirements. Represent NSWCPD Code 311 and 317 at various internal and external meetings. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Required Education, Skills & Experience: Bachelor's Degree is preferred, experience in lieu of education may be considered. Ability to investigate issues, coordinate data calls and inputs, develop reports and provide recommendations. Ability to professionally represent NSWCPD Code 311/317. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. High comfort level working with and around all military/organizational levels, clients, suppliers, and visitors. Ability to coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time. Preferred Skills & Experience: Former Navy service, equivalent Federal civilian service or DoD contractor employment. MS Access familiarization. Knowledge and understanding of technical and logistic issues. Experience with provisioning/supply system terminology. RMC Level I or II Certification. Familiarization with any Gov't logistic database such as Logiquest or Haystack, OneTouch, MBPS, Deckplate, FLIS, CDMD-OA, PMSMIS, NDE, or NAVLOGTD. DAU Level I Certification. Familiarization with Acquisition and In-Service Processes and contract documentation. General understanding of SCDs and/or ILS Certifications. Must be highly reliable and capable of meeting work schedule consistently. Ability to handle a high volume of work with accuracy and efficiency. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Strong decision-making ability and attention to detail. Ability to support sponsor positions, while working with other team members who have competing priorities Recommended Strengths: Analytical, Communication, and Learner Physical Demands & Expectations: Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent periods of prolonged sitting may be required. Ability to speak, read, hear, and write, with or without assistance. Ability to use telephone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment. Travel requirements: Approximately 10 to 15%.
