As the leader of the Consumer Product Systems Software Engineering team, you will lead a world class engineering team delivering innovative experiences in the consumer products family. Our products include market leading noise cancelling headphones, earbuds, speakers, soundbars etc. In this role, you will use your expertise in embedded systems and software development mobile applications, testing, validation and QA to lead the engineering team managing time-to-market, program cost targets and product quality. You will work side by side with talented engineering managers and researchers in a unique company culture that values innovation, great engineering and creating amazing customer experiences as well as collaborate with hardware teams, product office, program planning teams. An experienced product SW Development professional with organizational leadership experience and with an affinity for improving SW talent and skills are required for this role. Responsibilities: Lead embedded system and software teams for all consumer product delivery as per product roadmap Continue to build systems, SW and FW capabilities and work with the product team of world class software engineers to deliver on the Bose brand promise by driving innovation and excellence Build and develop our high performing product systems and software engineering team, systems software capability and an efficient operating model to deliver multiple products per year in the consumer products space Partner with product management, systems and software platforms product category COEs, platforms and product architecture hardware and software quality teams to deliver software in line with product priorities Be a change agent, driven to continuously improve our ability to deliver world class experiences for our customers Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Advanced degree is a plus 10+ years leading large product engineering development teams of 100+ engineers in consumer electronics space or related industry Strong cross functional collaboration and leadership ability is a must 10+ years of hands-on SW development and past coding experience with modern programming languages and paradigms Experience leading software engineering and delivery functions for new and in-market consumer electronics products is highly desired Experience managing and developing teams globally across multiple regions Experience developing software stacks that works within complex ecosystem including Cloud, and Mobile Applications using Android and iOS Experienced in delivering programs with a mix of fixed and flex resources globally Experienced in recruiting and growing SW talent at all levels of the organization Track record of driving improvement cross functionally with software platform, hardware, Software QA, UX, and Product management teams Ability to travel 20% At Bose, you're inspired to be and do your best and are rewarded for your unique talents! Our compensation is thoughtfully tailored to your skills, experience, education, and location, and goes beyond base salary. The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Framingham, Massachusetts is: $205,300-$282,250. The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
