The closer proximity allows family, friends, and community to more actively support the treatment, recovery, and aftercare of the patient. South Mississippi State Hospital serves Lamar, Forrest, Marion, Perry, Greene, Wayne, Jones, Covington, Jefferson Davis, Pearl River, Stone, Hancock, Harrison, George, Jackson, Pike, Walthall, Lawrence, Franklin, and Amite counties. About the Position:This position is for our C shift which is 11:00pm to 7:30am, with alternating weekends off and working.This position pays $26,185.60 as the annual salary.No weapon required -- works alone and/or with another security officer engaged in the protection of the property, personnel, and patients. Periodically checks the grounds throughout the shift. Observes activity via cameras as well as in person. Offers support on patient units. Serves as a backup for other role(s).
