Cable & Fiber Optic Splicer

Job Description -Knowledge to read and interpret facility blueprints and follow job specifications. -Prepares connectors and equipment, i.e. build-up prior to actual placement in the field. -Performs all types of splice work and continuity testing of copper, coaxial and fiber cable required to complete the splicing function. -Splices and tests all active and inactive devices in trunk and feeder cables utilizing aerial lift truck or climbing gear when necessary for aerial work. -Reports any discrepancies in completed work according to design maps and job specifications as issued by the customer. -Is capable of also performing the responsibilities of the Lineman-Wirepuller for the purpose of filling in to meet deadlines for customers
