Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Surgical Scrub Technician to support a busy Operating Room team in Redding, CA. The ideal candidate is skilled in maintaining a sterile field, anticipating surgeon needs, and responding to emergency call-back cases. Schedule Details 8-hour shifts On-call required Call-back for emergency and urgent surgical cases Must meet facility response time requirements Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain sterile surgical field Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts Ensure proper handling of surgical equipment and instruments Maintain infection control and safety standards Respond promptly to on-call and call-back cases Requirements Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) preferred BLS (AHA) - Required Minimum 1-2 years of recent OR experience preferred Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation Must be willing to take on-call and call-back shifts (non-negotiable) Ideal Candidate Detail-oriented and organized Strong teamwork and communication skills Calm and efficient in emergency situations Flexible and dependable with scheduling
