Quality Technician

Nesco Resource, 14 time winner of the Best In Staffing Award, is looking for a Quality Technician for a reputable Columbia Station manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have experience with mics and calipers, be looking for a temp to hire opportunity, and be able to work 2nd shift. The starting pay is $20-$23 an hour based on experience Job title: Quality Technician Location: Columbia Station Shift: 1st Salary: $20-$23 based on experience PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains calibration standards and records for all gauges including employee and customer owned gauges Updates PPAP related information as requested by the Quality Manager or Quality Engineer Participates in Quality Department and in APQP meetings as requested Reads and interprets drawings Performs receiving, first piece inspection and final inspection Manages sort and rework of rejected parts Completes SBP-10 Nonconforming Product Process Proficient with the Plex Quality Module Assists in the development of control plans, FMEA's, and check-sheets Understands the process flow of customer complaints and responds to customer complaints for reporting and resolution as requested Understands and applies quality related processes and supporting documents Performs capability studies and analyzes data and maintains quality system records as required Participates in ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 process, supporting document and overview training Performs MSA studies at the required frequency REQUIREMENTS Associate's Degree or 3 years of experience in a position of similar responsibilities and job knowledge Mechanical and Mathematical aptitude Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other software packages Ability to read gauges such as micrometers, calipers, measuring tapes, etc. Ability to read blueprints and drawings Able to lift 40 pounds.
