Construction Project Manager Oversee a variety of complex projects local to Kansas City. Robust career advancement potential - road to director positions. Our client is one of the most reputable General Contractors in the Greater Kansas City area. Due to a growing pipeline for 2025, the client is looking to bring on a strong Project Manager to step in and make an immediate impact. The client is prepared to grow this individual into a Senior Project Manager & director in no time at all once they have proven themselves projects. Job Description Ability to establish and maintain relationships with owners, owners representatives, architects, designers, property managers, consultants and subcontractors. Provide management direction and execute all construction projects. Establish and maintain clear communication and delegation between all on the project management team. Mentor, train, and coach all Assistant Project Managers on the site. Attend all pre-bid/site review meetings. Financial management of all phases of projects (estimating and bidding cost tracking to closeout). Estimate construction budgets and prepare / review bid packages. Ability to lead and manage meetings with clients, consultants and subcontractors. Monitor performance of the project superintendents and ensure industry standards are met. Create and maintain all project schedules and coordinate scope of work for all trades. Are accountable for all owner contracts, subcontracts, PO's, associated change orders, etc. Hold and document weekly project site meetings. Manage submissions and inspections required by governing agencies. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree (preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture). 10+ years of experience in the construction field. Experience managing / overseeing many projects at the same time. Ability to run projects from start to finish. Have knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, concrete work, masonry, site excavation, plumbing, grading, fire protection, HVAC and electrical. Working knowledge of commercial construction technology and details. Proficient reviewing and understanding of all construction documentation including drawings and specifications. Great communication and written skills with various parties including management, consultants, subcontractors, architects, vendors and clients.
