IT Operations Specialist

Location Las Vegas, NV, United States Work environment In-person Job description Company is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Operations Specialist to join its team. In this role, you'll play a key part in documenting, analyzing, and improving the technical workflows that support live operations. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and documentation skills with hands-on experience across systems, networking, and operational environments. This role is based in the Spring Valley area of Southwest Las Vegas, NV. Schedule Workers will begin on a standard day shift (Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-6:30 PM). The schedule will eventually transition to one of the following designated shifts based on business need: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-6:30 PM Wednesday-Sunday, 5:30 PM-2:00 AM Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 AM-6:30 PM Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 AM-6:30 PM As an IT Operations Specialist, you'll: Shadow and document live operational workflows, dependencies, and system interactions. Map technical processes and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Ops, DevOps, Infrastructure, Engineering) to streamline workflows. Draft clear process documentation and actionable improvement recommendations. Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ideal candidate profile • Experience in an operations center, NOC/SOC, or similar real-time support setting • Familiarity with network monitoring tools, cloud-based diagnostics, or infrastructure automation • Experience interacting with DevOps or Infrastructure teams in a production environment • 5+ years of experience Daily tasks • Shadow multiple operations team members to observe day-to-day workflows and system interactions • Document processes, dependencies, bottlenecks, and pain points in current technical operations • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights on end-to-end technical workflows • Assist in developing process improvement recommendations and operational documentation • Provide technical feedback and support where appropriate, aligning with operational goals • Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Required skills • Strong analytical and documentation skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site, high-security environment - Prior experience in at least two of the following technical domains: • Real-time technical operations • Advanced TCP/IP networking • Cellular networks • AWS cloud computing • Kubernetes • Windows workstation support Business driver of role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Operations Specialist to support our Technical Operations team within a dynamic and fast-paced Fusion Center environment.
