This contract position offers a chance to provide compassionate care to diverse patient populations, including adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics in a well-established behavioral health hospital setting. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with psychiatric diagnoses such as schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Monitor patient progress and respond to changing clinical needs Float among various units to support patient care needs across adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations Adhere to facility protocols, documentation standards, and maintain accurate electronic health records (Cerner) Work the night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with every other weekend required; no call responsibilities Qualifications and Experience: Valid RN license with at least 1 year of nursing experience Behavioral health nursing experience preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Comfortable and willing to work with a diverse population of adults and pediatric patients, ages 5-17 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with variable patient-to-nurse ratios (approximately 1:8) Location: Chicopee, MA offers a charming New England environment with a mix of suburban comforts and accessible urban amenities.
