Details Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit in a hospital setting Night shift schedule 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts 13-week contract Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital Requirements Active Michigan (MI) RN license required Required certifications (must be AHA-issued): BLS, ACLS, and NRP Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required Post-partum experience required Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred COVID vaccination required for employment at this facility Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel Additional Information Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and family teaching Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team and participates in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals Online orientation modules must be completed with a passing score onsite, typically one week prior to start No blocked scheduling allowed All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to acceptance of the assignment; requests made after an offer is extended will require manager approval once the assignment begins Interviews are required for this position American Traveler Job ID P-681247.
