The Floating Teller - West (Treasure Valley) will be based out of our Nampa branch and provide staffing coverage for Pioneer's West Region branches based on staffing needs due to scheduled and unscheduled PTO requests, vacant positions, training schedules, etc. Pioneer's West Region consists of the Treasure Valley, including Caldwell, Meridian, Boise, Middleton, and Nampa. This position will travel to and work out of different branch locations with the understanding the schedule may change daily. The Floating Teller will change branch environments and support various teams at multiple branches. They are responsible for being knowledgeable and adaptable to varying branch procedures and will report temporarily to the Branch Manager at the coverage location. The Floating Teller will remain at their home branch when not needed at another location and will be a direct report to their home Branch Manager on a permanent basis. Floating Tellers will greet members, assist members, and potential members with their credit union needs; explains services, responds to problems, assists members with their financial needs, and directs members to the appropriate team members. Tellers will ensure that Pioneer's service standards are always met while diligently working towards delivering 'WOW' through exceptional service. Matches Credit Union services and products to member's needs, and proactively seek new business with members or potential members by utilizing and participating in community events. Maintains a professional business appearance, and continually delivers Pioneer's Brand through service, appearance, and attention to branch look and feel. Responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, money orders, and cash advances. Verifies that signatures are correct, that written and numerical amounts agree, and that accounts have sufficient funds. Balances each day's transactions and verifies cash totals. Performs specific assigned side-jobs and assists other team members a variety of duties. Qualifications Experience: Minimum six months of similar or related experience. Education: A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills: Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information. Other Skills: This position requires excellent public relations skills, knowledge of Pioneer services and products, organizational skills to ensure the proper recording and dissemination of required information. Efficiency and accuracy, as well as professionalism in communication, is vital to the successful execution of this position. Physical Requirements: Very light physical effort. Typical of most office jobs. Work in comfortable positions. May include constant standing. Work Environment: Normal light, heat, air, and space in the work environment.
