Who We're Hiring: Doswell Operating Group is looking to add a Site Safety Coordinator to our team! The Site Safety Coordinator is responsible for promoting and enforcing a strong safety culture across an active construction site. This role is field-based and involves daily site presence to conduct safety inspections, lead toolbox talks, ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations, and support field leadership in maintaining a safe and productive work environment for the duration of the project. This is a project-based, on-site role. The position is assigned to an active construction project and is expected to continue for the duration of the project. Ongoing employment beyond project completion is not guaranteed and will be based on business needs and performance. What You'll Do: On-Site Safety Oversight Conduct daily safety walks and jobsite inspections to identify hazards, unsafe behaviors, and non-compliant conditions. Ensure work activities comply with OSHA standards, company safety policies, and project-specific safety plans. Verify proper use of PPE and safe work practices. Training & Communication Lead and document daily or weekly toolbox talks. Coach field employees and subcontractors on safe work practices and hazard recognition. Serve as a safety resource for field supervisors, foremen, and project managers. Incident Prevention & Reporting Assist with incident, near-miss, and safety concern reporting. Support investigations by gathering facts, photos, and documentation. Track corrective actions and follow up to ensure resolution. Compliance & Documentation Maintain site-specific safety documentation, including inspection logs, training records, and corrective action reports. Support audits and inspections from internal leadership, clients, or regulatory agencies. Ensure safety signage, permits, and documentation are current and visible on job sites. What You'll Bring: 2+ years experience in the construction industry. Safety experience is preferred. Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence safe behavior at all levels. Proficiency with basic technology (laptop, Microsoft Office, etc.) and the willingness to learn new programs. Driving Requirements Must have a valid Virginia driver's license. Must have positive points on state driving record. Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted. Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years. All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team. Physical Requirements Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
