Details Works on a Med/Surg Oncology unit in a hospital setting Patient population includes adults with soft tissue malignancies receiving chemotherapy, symptom management, and diagnostic services, as well as patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and management of comorbidities Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) May be scheduled on a rotating day/night basis depending on departmental needs, with shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period Special equipment includes GE B450 telemetry monitors, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds Epic EMR experience required Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity Requirements Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Current BLS certification required Epic EMR proficiency required Required skills include: dysrhythmia interpretation, port access, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, IV starts, assistance with chest tube insertion/removal, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and ABG interpretation Oncology experience preferred but not required Previous travel nursing experience preferred 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration Additional Information Unit has a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application Candidates who have previously worked with this health system are not required to take a 30-day break between assignments to change representation (except Sterile Processing Techs) American Traveler Job ID P-681425.
