Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a Director, Quality Assurance on behalf of our client, a company that provides a wide range of products for babies, mothers, and families, delivering practical, solutions-driven tools to support parents throughout their journey. The Director, Quality Assurance plays a critical role in establishing and maintaining the highest standards of product quality, safety, and compliance. This leader will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring adherence to ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and other applicable standards. This role is essential to supporting new product development, legacy product performance, and long-term organizational growth. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and other relevant standards. Assist in developing sustainable quality control plans with detailed testing standards for new and ongoing production, ensuring alignment across suppliers and partners. Create, implement, and maintain tailored quality control checklists for products and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with warehouse teams and 3PL partners to establish quality procedures for incoming inspection, nonconforming material management, storage, and process controls. Partner with Customer Service to address quality complaints, lead CAPA processes, and communicate resolutions to key stakeholders. Work cross-functionally to incorporate user needs and consumer insights into design and quality control standards. Coordinate product testing with suppliers and third-party labs to confirm compliance with internal standards. Maintain calibration logs for in-house equipment used in design verification. Revise and develop product specifications related to quality testing, and collaborate with compliance teams to ensure proper execution. Lead and prepare for external audits and inspections from regulatory bodies and customers. Manage the internal audit program and implement corrective actions as needed. Oversee all Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to ensure timely, effective resolution of non-conformances. Drive quality improvement initiatives to reduce product return rates and address performance issues. Evaluate and monitor suppliers through audits and ongoing quality assessments. Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Assurance team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement. Provide subject matter expertise in quality engineering, including risk management, design verification, validation, design transfer, and change control. Develop and deliver training programs to ensure compliance with SOPs, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Support additional quality-related projects as assigned. Requirements include: Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Experience: 8-10+ years of experience in consumer products (preferred), Quality Assurance, Compliance, or related fields. Hands-on experience developing, implementing, and improving a QMS. Experience working with suppliers and material/component vendors (PCBAs, metals, plastics, cables). Skills: Strong attention to detail and a results-driven mindset. Excellent project management skills for managing quality objectives, timelines, and improvement initiatives. Highly skilled in multitasking, prioritization, and operating in fast-paced environments. Strong verbal communication skills with employees, vendors, and management. Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. Knowledge: Working knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and other regulatory standards (UL/ETL, FDA, ROHS, Prop 65, etc.). Familiarity with DFMEA, Control Plans, Testing Procedures, and AQLs. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, Visio, PLM systems (preferably Aras), material management software, and statistical applications.
