Soldering / Mechanical Assembler Location: McKinney, TX (75071) Job ID: 72116 Pay Range: $15-18 Open to US Citizens Shift: 1st Shift 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM Schedule: 9/80A SKILLS: 2yrs of Assembly, basic Soldering, read & interpret technical drawings & schematics Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to perform a variety of mechanical assembly operations in support of technologically advanced products. The ideal candidate will work from detailed work instructions, procedures, and engineering documentation to complete high-quality builds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical and basic electronic assembly operationsFollow detailed work instructions, procedures, and engineering documentsPerform basic soldering (required)Conduct basic troubleshooting during assembly processesDocument build records accurately and thoroughlyUtilize hand tools, computers, and special tooling dailyInterpret schematics and technical drawingsMove materials as needed throughout the assembly processMaintain a strong safety mindset and follow all procedures Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or 2-year post high school technical training) (required)Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electronic or mechanical assemblyMilitary training in building and/or troubleshooting mechanical components may be considered equivalentBasic soldering experience (required)Basic assembly troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with minimal supervisionU.S. Citizen (required)Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance Preferred QualificationsIPC or J-STD certification (preferred, not required)Experience in electronic, optical, or mechanical assembly processesStrong multitasking and prioritization skillsFlexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work across multiple shifts and occasional weekend workEnthusiastic self-starter who works well in team environments Physical RequirementsAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 poundsAbility to stand for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift)Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reachingAbility to sit for extended periods while performing detailed assembly tasks Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions throughout the shiftManual dexterity sufficient for handling small components and precision toolsVisual acuity (corrected or uncorrected) sufficient to read detailed instructions, schematics, and identify small componentsAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levelsAbility to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Benefits provided: 401K, medical, dental, and vision, sick time as applicable to state law.
