Job Description

Material Handler As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving and auditing incoming materials, conducting daily cycle counts of inventory, and processing jobs via computer systems. You will handle the packaging, wrapping, and crating of materials approved for shipping, and expedite line-down parts to the appropriate work centers. Additionally, you will manage documentation filing in accordance with department procedures and perform other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Receive and audit incoming materials. Conduct daily cycle counts of inventory. Process jobs using computer systems. Manage the return of materials to the warehouse, supplier, or vendor. Package, wrap, and crate materials approved for shipping. Expedite line-down parts to the appropriate work centers. File documentation according to department procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Material handling experience (2+ years preferred). Forklift certification (preferred). Shipping experience (preferred). Ability to lift 35+ pounds. Computer skills including ERP system knowledge. Data entry and Oracle knowledge is a plus. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma required. Must pass a drug test and BG check. Work Environment This position operates primarily outdoors in a construction building environment, requiring the ability to lift 35-50 pounds occasionally. The role includes both a first shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM and a second shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, starting with day shifts for training. The second shift offers a pay differential. Employees are required to wear steel toe boots from the first day. The contract role lasts 12-18 months with the possibility of conversion based on performance and business needs. The work involves moderate temperature and noise levels and requires a range of physical activities including sitting, walking, and using a computer terminal. Overtime may be required occasionally. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
