We are seeking primarily Industry Professionals to share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of fields. Courses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks. The face-to-face interaction is blended with technology (such as online discussions and online assignments) for an enhanced learning environment. Commitment is on a course by course basis.In this role, you will: Become part of a dynamic team of educational professionals, teaching Nursing Students in a dynamic classroom/online hybrid settingImplement and embrace Chamberlain College’s Care philosophy, curriculum and course objectives by engaging studentsEstablish an environment conducive to student engagement by effectively planning and preparing for classes, responding quickly to student requests for assistance and ensuring that students enjoy a powerful learning experienceIdentify opportunities to enhance student engagement through collaboration with colleagues who provide academic and professional guidancePromote student success by demonstrating a flexible style and exhibit a passion for teaching by devoting time and energy to develop scholarly excellenceEngage with a diverse student body comprised of a variety of ages, cultural backgrounds, ethnicities and academic preparationFoster a positive learning environment by keeping accurate records, submitting grades on time, and enforcing academic and attendance policies THIS IS A CAMPUS BASED TEACHING OPPORTUNUTY LOCATED IN NEW ORLEANS, LA Qualifications: QualificationsYou are encouraged to explore this opportunity if you: Earned a master's or doctorate degree in Microbiology, Biology or very closely related field with a required minimum of 18 or more graduate credit hours earned directly in microbiology.Have at least 18-credit hours of higher education teaching experience (preferred but not required)Possess genuine passion for education and lifelong learningHave exceptional subject matter expertise as well as excellent written and verbal communication skillsAre eager to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect and careOperate with a sense of responsibility and purpose with the desire to enrich colleagues, students and the broader communityHave a strong work ethic, learn from mistakes, build positive spirit and always look for a better wayPut the team first, appreciate diverse points of view, assume positive intent, collaborate and communicate openlyAre able to provide official transcripts for all earned degrees from a regionally accredited institution (or a US course-by-course equivalency evaluation for degrees earned and conferred outside of the US)THIS IS A CAMPUS BASED TEACHING OPPORTUNUTY LOCATED IN NEW ORLEANS, LA Additional InformationChamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Campus:_In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $1,120 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
