The ideal candidate will have hands-on field experience combined with office-based estimating experience using industry-standard estimating software.Responsibilities:Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for commercial and industrial electrical projectsPerform material take-offs and analyze project drawings, specifications, and addendaSupport senior estimators in identifying cost-effective solutions and accurate project scope coverageCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and estimating team members to ensure accurate project costingParticipate in site visits and pre-bid walkthroughs to assess project requirements and gather relevant dataRequest, compile, and review pricing from suppliers and subcontractorsAssist with tracking estimate data and supporting cost reviews as neededUtilize electrical estimating software to enhance accuracy and efficiency in bid preparationMaintain organized estimating files and documentationStay informed of applicable industry standards, codes, and regulationsRequirements:2–3 years of commercial or industrial electrical field experience2–3 years of electrical estimating experience in an office environmentProficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong understanding of electrical materials, methods, and labor unitsAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and specificationsKnowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbout Us: KIBO & CO is a growing commercial and industrial electrical contractor built by people who understand the field and the office.
