The company is continuing to grow and is adding an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to support increasing bid volume. The Role The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial mechanical projects. This role works closely with operations, project management, and vendors to ensure pricing reflects real-world execution. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial mechanical projects (HVAC, piping, plumbing as applicable) Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop complete scopes of work Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis Identify risks, gaps, and value-engineering opportunities during the estimating phase Participate in bid reviews and turnover meetings with operations Maintain historical cost data and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Estimator in commercial construction Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical piping, and related trades Experience estimating projects ranging from tenant improvements to large ground-up builds Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Trimble, FastPIPE, QuickBid, Excel, or similar) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally What's Offered Competitive base salary up from $110 to $155K depending on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Stable backlog and long-term growth opportunity Collaborative team environment with experienced leadership
