Operations Administrator of Park & Ride Services The Operations Administrator of Park & Ride Services is a part-time position responsible for providing administrative, operational, and coordination support to ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of Park & Ride facilities and services. This position serves as a liaison between operations staff, vendors, transit partners, and the public, supporting daily operations, recordkeeping, scheduling, reporting, customer service, and fare-related functions. The role also includes responsibility for cash handling, processing fare transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and selling coupon books to customers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced transit or public service environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operations & Administrative Support Provide administrative support for Park & Ride operations, including documentation, filing, and record maintenance. Assist with daily operational coordination of Park & Ride facilities, including hours of operation and service coverage. Maintain operational reports, logs, and documentation related to Park & Ride services. Cash Handling & Fare Sales Process customer payments and sell coupon books and other approved fare media. Handle cash, checks, and electronic payments in accordance with agency cash handling policies. Maintain accurate daily cash logs, reconcile receipts, and prepare deposits. Ensure proper tracking and inventory control of coupon books and fare materials. Assist with financial reporting related to fare sales and transactions. Compliance & Safety Support compliance with local, state, and federal transit regulations, policies, and procedures. Customer Service & Public Interaction Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests related to Park & Ride services. Provide assistance to customers purchasing coupon books and explain fare options and procedures. Assist with communication of service updates, changes, or facility notices. Non-Essential Duties Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned. Provide backup administrative support to other operations functions as needed. Qualifications Education & Experience Minimum of two (2) years of administrative or operations support experience; experience in transit, transportation, facilities, public sector operations, or cash handling/customer transactions preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to accurately handle and reconcile cash and maintain financial records. Physical & Work Requirements Primarily office-based. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment. Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds. May require occasional evening or weekend work to support operations. Working Conditions Combination of office and field environment. Exposure to outdoor conditions during site visits. Interaction with staff, vendors, law enforcement, and the public.
