Details Work in a 12-bed ICU-CCU unit within a 595-bed Joint Commission-accredited hospital in Birmingham, AL Patient population includes neurological and surgical intensive care patients Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity ICU equipment includes ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous lines (CVLs) EMR: Cerner Night shift: 19:30–07:00 Every other weekend required Floating required as needed No on-call responsibilities Requirements Active AL or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-issued only; American Red Cross certifications are not accepted) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (AHA-issued only) Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required Neuro ICU experience preferred SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information The facility is a faith-based, not-for-profit hospital managed and operated in partnership with Orlando Health The hospital is recognized for excellence in stroke care, cardiovascular services, surgical care, rehabilitation, and bariatrics, and holds Primary Stroke Center certification from The Joint Commission Navy scrubs are required; scrubs are mandatory attire All certifications must not be expired or set to expire within 30 days of the start date American Traveler Job ID P-678408.
