One of our clients in Havre de Grace, MD needs an Supervisor Armed Security Guard for a permanent position. Position: Supervisor Armed Security Guard Location: Havre de Grace, MD Position Type: Permanent position Travel: NA Job Description: iQuasar is seeking to immediately hire an Supervisor Armed Security Guard to supportthe Maryland Military Installation Department. The Armed Security Guard will be providing securing, monitoring, and providing personnel in the performance of security, resource protection, and law enforcement duties. Responsibilities: Provide courteous timely service continuously while maintaining control of all personnel and vehicles entering the installation. Control all personnel and vehicles departing the installation. Conduct inspections of vehicles at the designated vehicle inspection point. Perform individual identification checks. Issue visitor passes at the main entry gate/entrance foyer. Direct traffic at access control points. Perform emergency procedures for gate closure. Qualifications: Must be a citizen of the United States. Must have two years of armed security guard experience. Must meet training requirements for State-level armed security guards in the State of Maryland. Possess knowledge of procedures and experience with the use of wire and radio communications. Be proficient in English the language (i.e. read, write, speak). Must have the ability to write incident reports and statements. Possess a valid Maryland Armed Guard License. Possess a valid Maryland State weapons permit. Possess a current Red Cross or other CPR/First Aid/AED certification. Possess a valid driver's license. Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Must pass a physical examination; be able to lift fifty (50) pounds, endure frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, stooping, climbing, crawling, jumping, occasional running or sprinting. Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check. Be trained in the use of Baton and Pepper Spray.
