Assistant Plant ManagerJob Summary: The Assistant Plant Manager plays a key role in overseeing plant operations, supporting production goals, ensuring safety standards, and collaborating across departments. This position serves as a second-in-command to the Plant Manager, with leadership duties spanning production, post production, and personnel development.Responsibilities: Monitor and coordinate daily precast production schedulesTroubleshoot production issues and provide hands-on support to teamsEnsure product quality standards are consistently met Enforce all safety policies and OSHA regulations across the plantEnsures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safe practices throughout the facility Assist in managing raw material inventory and usageOptimize material flow and staging areas to minimize delays Supervise production leads and hourly workforceSupport training and development of new and existing employeesMaintain accountability, attendance, and performance standardsNotifies the maintenance department of equipment problems.Support equipment maintenance and preventative programsCollaborate with engineering, logistics, and QC teams to resolve issuesAssist the Plant Manager in data reporting, allocating personnel resources, and continuous improvementEnsures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/ Abilities: 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or constructionExperience in precast concrete or similar industrial manufacturing environmentsComfortable with digital systems, spreadsheets, and production softwareThorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Physical Requirements: Frequently required to stand and walk.Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required include vision, distant vision, color vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.May require traveling 25% of the time.
