Quality Assembly Inspector

Job Title : Inspector Location : Oldsmar, FL 34677 Contract : 12 Months Contract Citizenship Requirement: US Citizens Shift: (Mon-Thurs 3:30 PM EST-2:00 AM EST) Summary: Uses predetermined methods, inspection operations, and prescribed specifications to visually inspect solder and conformal coating of circuit card assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 requirements. The role requires interpreting instructions, drawings, inspection checklists, and using measuring devices such as dial indicators, preset micrometers, and scales to ensure assemblies meet manufacturing and industry specifications. Key Responsibilities: Visually inspect solder connections and conformal coating of circuit card assemblies. Interpret and work from instructions, drawings, diagrams, parts lists, checklists, and work instructions. Use various measuring devices to verify compliance to specifications. Ensure adherence to IPC standards and other related reference documents. Interface effectively and diplomatically with all levels of manufacturing to address quality defects. Basic Qualifications: Ability to work under a microscope. Prior experience inspecting solder connections and/or assembly build experience on circuit card assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001. Minimum 2 years of solder/visual inspection experience, or 3 years of manufacturing/soldering experience of electronic assemblies in lieu of quality inspection experience. Minimum 1 year of conformal coating experience. Detailed and process-oriented with proficiency in: Interpreting drawings, diagrams, and parts lists. Navigating and understanding IPC standards, revision control, and reference documents. Proficient with personal computers. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to read and write English. Must have IPC-A-610 and J-STD experience.
