Full Job Description: HVAC Mechanical Journeyperson Grade: Hourly 18 | H-18 Tulsa Public Schools' existing salary schedules provide career increment adjustments based on education/experience and/or and years of credible service. Additionally, our board of education recently approved salary & benefit increases for qualifying positions. For information about salary and benefits for this specific position, please visit our Compensation and Benefits website. Position Summary: Complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner. Report labor, cost and any pertinent notes/information regarding all assigned work orders and return to your foreperson daily. Qualifications/Job Requirements: Education: • High School diploma or equivalent Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: • Current state mechanical journeyperson license • Current EPA certification • Thorough understanding of city codes and EPA regulations • Extensive knowledge regarding the operation of HVAC control systems, boilers, and associated heating equipment • Care and use of common hand tools Experience: • Five (5) years' experience in maintenance of HVAC equipment • Must have thorough understanding of current city codes and EPA regulations • Must have extensive knowledge regarding the operation of HVAC control systems, boilers and associated heating equipment • Ability to perform routine preventative maintenance on all HVAC equipment Physical Requirements: • Must be able to occasionally lift more than 50lbs. • Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolds Other: • Able and willing to learn Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite • Proficient in Spanish is a plus About Our District: At Tulsa Public Schools, our mission is to inspire and prepare every student to love learning, achieve ambitious goals, and make positive contributions to our world.
