Emergency Medicine Physician

Location: Roxboro, NC Roxboro offers a charming small-town atmosphere in north-central North Carolina with easy access to both the Research Triangle area and the Virginia border. The community provides a relaxed pace of life while still being within reach of larger metropolitan amenities. Facility: This urgent care center is part of a well-established healthcare network providing comprehensive acute care services to the community. The facility features a modern clinical environment with supportive staff including Center Manager, Medical Assistants, and Patient Service Associates. Opportunity: Board Certified - Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician with Urgent Care experience Job Details: • Function as the sole provider in the urgent care center, seeing approximately 20-40 patients per day (average 20 at this site) • Treat both adult and pediatric patients (6 months and older) • Perform procedures including I&D, laceration repair, ear irrigation, and other minor procedures • Must be proficient with EPIC EMR system - will be required for all patient visits • Minimum of 12 months experience required - new graduates not considered • Must have excellent interpersonal skills as you'll be working directly with support staff and patients • Required certifications: Board Certification (MD), NCCPA certification (PA), Family NP certification, and BLS • No call requirements • APPs will have supervising physician support provided by the healthcare organization (offsite) • Must complete clinical interview, EMR training, and onboarding before first solo shift • May be asked to support multiple locations within a 65-mile radius of residence • Credentialing timeframe approximately 20 days Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Estimated Hourly Rate: $85 - $100
