Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:RN - Med Surg Job Details:• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked• 13-week contract length• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required• Float to ICU to assist when needed• Subject to low census and being placed on call• Call back minimum is 2 hours• Patient ratio average 1:6 for night shift• Work with 25-bed medical surgical unit• Care for geriatric patients with CHF, COPD, and diabetes• Any colored scrubs required• Required licenses and certifications: Current Michigan RN license, AHA BLS, and ACLS• Minimum 2+ years medical surgical experience required• Must have ICU and emergency room experience• Strong charting experience required with Care Scape patient monitors, Epic EMR, and Pyxis medication dispensing• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per facility policy• Candidates with demonstrated contract experience in colder climates preferred for winter start dates Facility:This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical facility providing quality patient care with modern technology and equipment.
