Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVOR Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 03/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech Cardiac Job Details:• Work 36 or 48 hours per week with DEN rotation schedule• Weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts per unit needs• Provide technical knowledge in preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies for cardiac surgical procedures• Assist surgical team from scrub position during operations• Responsible for proper care and handling of instruments and facilitating room turnover between cases• Maintain sterile technique and safe handling of sharps• Perform surgical counts as per hospital policy• Handle solutions and pharmacologic agents under direction of registered nurse• Care for patients undergoing CABG's, TAVI's, VAD's, ECMO, artificial heart procedures, and heart transplants• Must be able to scrub and circulate• 2 years recent experience in cardiac operating room required• NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as Surgical Technician required• NY Tech License required• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY) required• Operating room experience in level 1 trauma preferred Facility:This major academic medical center features a specialized Adult Cardiac OR that cares for a wide variety of cardiac patients using a multidisciplinary approach.
