Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Description Cardinal Staffing is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at a Union Based Facility in Warren Michigan. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment and a proactive approach to equipment reliability and safety. This is NOT Building MaintenanceCandidates MUST have their own toolsResponsibilities of the Maintenance Technician Include: Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and related equipment Troubleshoot electrical systems including three-phase motors, start/stop circuits, AC/DC drives, and electrical conduit installation Perform Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting Observe mechanical devices in operation and diagnose malfunctions Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective parts Make approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs Repair or replace defective parts; lubricate and clean components Start and test devices to verify proper performance after repairs Maintain, install, and repair electrical equipment Keep accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records; ensure all revisions to equipment and tools are properly documented Maintain 5S standards in the shop and work areas Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, and written) Exercise the authority and responsibility to stop the production line if a safety or quality issue arises Lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs as required Required Qualifications for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician: Minimum 3-5 years maintenance experience Skilled manufacturing maintenance experience required Experience in maintenance support of a large production facility preferred Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude Available shifts: 2nd shift and 3rd shift: currently working 6 days, 12 hours. Must have flexibility with schedule. Must be available on Sundays if needed. $30.00 per hour,based on experience.
