Position: MRI Tech 13- week contract Location: Ft. Walton Beach, Fl Estimated Pay Package: $1900 (Stipend Included) About the Role: As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations for diagnostic purposes, ensuring quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort. You will work collaboratively with radiologists and healthcare staff to provide top-tier care for patients. Key Responsibilities: Perform MRI scans as ordered by physicians, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnostic evaluation. Prepare and position patients properly for MRI procedures based on their age, size, and medical condition. Monitor patients throughout the imaging process, offering reassurance and addressing any concerns. Maintain MRI equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and performing routine checks and maintenance. Follow safety protocols concerning MRI procedures, including the implementation of the necessary precautions for equipment and patient protection. Document all procedures accurately in electronic medical records, including patient information, imaging procedures, and results. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment. Educate patients and their families about the MRI process and what to expect during the procedure. Requirements Education to meet certification, license or registration requirements. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. National Registered Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with MRI certification. Valid and unencumbered Radiologic Technician license in the state of practice. Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols. Experience in imaging and knowledge of MRI technology. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a clinical setting as an MRI Technician. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
