CWI Inspector Short Term Contract

Job DescriptionSGS is currently looking for a CWI Inspector for a short 2 week contract in April 2026. We are looking for a candidate who has a CWI and/or ASNT Level II (or higher) – VT, UT, MT certification. The client is located in Nello, South Bend, Indiana.Scope of work: Review Manufacturers quality inspection documentationExamine job travelers and inspection findingsEvaluate Material test reports, WPS, and PQREvaluate Repair procedures for adherence to specificationsProvide evidence that repairs were properly madeDocument all quality issuesEvaluate finished product including surface finish and coating to assure compliance with all applicable specificationsPerform dimensional verification in accordance to relevant part drawingsWitness NDT (VT, UT, and MT) in accordance with AWS D1.1 and project specificationsClearly mark any defective areas requiring rework, including description of defectProvide photographsReinspect all repairs to ensure it meets specificationsRandom Spot checks of welders before, during, and after weldingInspector shall deliver weekly reports Qualifications: Qualifications Duration – 2 weeks (5x a week up to possibly 6x)CWI and/or ASNT Level II (or higher) – VT, UT, MTExperience with steel transmission poles would be an asset.Location – Nello (South Bend, Indiana)Contractor will be set up as a 1099.
