Description Assess and evaluate patients across various demographics including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques. Create tailored treatment plans addressing specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs that align with both short- and long-term goals. Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions targeting areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to care. Guide and educate patients and their families to continue progress during and outside of the clinical sessions. Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to guarantee seamless continuity of care. Document treatment plans and patient progress accurately and timely, in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements. Engage in ongoing education and peer discussions to stay abreast of the latest industry advancements. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly desirable. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment strategies for all ages, maintaining a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Strong communication skills to foster relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Adaptability to meet a variety of cultural and language needs within therapy strategies. Strong clinical judgment coupled with problem-solving abilities. Comfort with electronic medical records and compliance with documentation protocols.
