Description Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both observational techniques and standardized assessments. Create tailored treatment plans designed to meet immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing ambitions. Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on different aspects of communication including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to construct unified care strategies. Provide educational resources to patients and families for effective progress outside of therapeutic sessions. Assist with sporadic inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the treatment process. Keep precise and prompt documentation that adheres to professional, state, and federal guidelines. Engage in continuous learning by attending educational opportunities and collaborating with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification is not yet achieved. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be completed within 30 days of hiring. Skills Expertise in evidence-based therapy methods for a variety of age groups, with a solid grounding in developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Able to establish positive connections with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Skilled in adapting therapy methods to accommodate varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong problem-solving abilities paired with clinical acumen. Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and maintaining documentation standards.
