Job Description

Title: Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) Location: Tonawanda, NY Schedule: Days Compensation: $70,000 - $95,000, annually What We Are Looking For We are seeking a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) to lead and execute commercial energy audits for industrial and commercial facilities, including audits required under New York energy programs such as ReCharge NY. This role is responsible for conducting ASHRAE-compliant audits, identifying energy efficiency opportunities, developing financial analyses, and delivering professional audit reports that support compliance and project implementation. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong analytical skills, field experience, and the ability to translate operational data into actionable energy-saving recommendations. What You Will Do Perform ASHRAE Level I and Level II commercial energy audits Collect and analyze utility data (electric, gas, steam) Conduct on-site facility inspections and equipment assessments Identify and quantify energy conservation measures (ECMs) Develop cost estimates, savings calculations, and simple payback analyses Prepare comprehensive audit reports suitable for regulatory and program submission Support customers in understanding findings and implementation options Coordinate with operations teams to validate feasibility of recommended measures Maintain documentation in compliance with NY program requirements Audit deliverables completed on time and compliant with program standards Strong collaboration with commercial operations and finance Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
