Director of Accounting

Job Description 7 plus years of progressive Accounting & Finance experience Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Director of Accounting & Finance for a manufacturing company located in the Metro-Detroit, MI area. This role will be responsible for formalizing processes, strengthening internal controls, improving reporting accuracy, and delivering meaningful financial insights to support leadership decision-making. Requirements of the Director of Accounting & Finance Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing Experience leading accounting in a small to mid-sized privately held company Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Experience working in QuickBooks; ability to optimize system usage Proven ability to formalize processes and build scalable accounting infrastructure Responsibilities of the Director of Accounting & Finance Oversee and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Review reconciliations, journal entries, and adjusting entries Establish disciplined month-end timelines and reporting standards Establish and formalize accounting processes and workflows Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies Improve documentation and reporting structure within QuickBooks Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements Monitor AR/AP processes and manage cash flow timing Develop cash flow forecasts and working capital strategies Coordinate with tax advisors, auditors, payroll providers, and external vendors Support inventory accounting and cost controls within a manufacturing environment If you are a high performer and would like to work for an equally high performing company and you think the above opportunity is appropriate for you, we invite you to apply to this job and email your resume to .
