Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning from children to seniors, utilizing standardized assessments along with observational techniques. Create tailored treatment strategies aimed at achieving immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions. Collaborate with a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to develop integrated care plans. Provide education and guidance to patients and their families to support ongoing progress beyond clinical appointments. Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring continual patient care throughout the recovery journey. Ensure accurate and timely documentation following state, federal, and organizational regulations. Stay updated on innovations in the field through continuous learning and collaborative efforts. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all demographics, along with a profound understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Superior interpersonal communication skills with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Ability to modify therapy techniques to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
