Job Summary: This role involves performing a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Ray, while ensuring patient safety protocols are strictly followed. You will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, helping to meet their imaging needs with professionalism and care. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the safety and well-being of patients undergoing radiation therapy by minimizing risks such as electric shock, burns, and unnecessary radiation exposure. Provide age-appropriate care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric, geriatric, and general patients. Conduct pre-procedure equipment checks and perform preventive maintenance to guarantee safe operation. Prepare and instruct patients for radiation therapy procedures, determining optimal anatomical positioning and shielding. Verify prescribed ionizing radiation dosages for accuracy before treatments. Maintain strict adherence to medical and surgical asepsis standards at all times. Education and Experience: Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program is required. State licensure permitting diagnostic CT exams and documented training in diagnostic CT procedures. Certification and registration with ARRT in radiography and nuclear medicine technology (ARRT or NMTCB) with documented CT training. At least one year of radiologic/imaging experience. CT registry certification must be obtained within one year of hire. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and cross-sectional anatomy. Proficiency with major CT/X-Ray equipment brands such as GE, Siemens, and Toshiba. Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science degree and specific CT experience and training are advantageous but not mandatory. Professional Requirements: Maintain all regulatory requirements and certifications. Demonstrate punctuality and complete tasks within designated timelines. Exhibit respectful and courteous communication with patients, guests, and colleagues. Commit to the mission, ethics, and goals of the organization. This position is based in a regional healthcare facility serving the Pacific Northwest. The work schedule includes 72 hours per pay period, primarily days with 12-hour shifts.
