Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree, complemented by preparation for ASCP/AMT certifications. Certification Expectations Obtain ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within a year of hiring. Maintain active certification throughout employment tenure.
