Asset Management Senior Associate Institutional loan servicer and third-party asset manager. Core competencies include asset management and loan/REO resolution, asset operations (loan, collateral and systems administration), portfolio reporting and surveillance and investment underwriting and diligence. Led by a senior management team with decades of experience in CMBS asset management. The firms mission is to be the premier servicer of CMBS and CLO assets. Job Description Underwriting & Portfolio Analysis: Support senior members of the asset management team in the analysis and underwriting of commercial real estate loans with collateral types including office, hospitality, retail, industrial and multifamily. The underwriting exercise will conclude with a risk rating and assessment of the borrower's ability to perform and exit the credit at loan maturity. Underwrite borrower requests that require lender consent, including assumptions, modifications, major leases, property management changes, or additional debt. Participate in quarterly watchlist reviews to evaluate the financial performance of various assets and make recommendations as to whether loan performance merits placement on the watchlist. Asset Management: Support senior members of the asset management team in their management of a portfolio of CMBS loans and REO assets to include financial statement review and analysis, preparation of models designed to compare competing hold versus sale exit strategies on a net present value basis, participate in negotiations, and travel to meet with counterparties and inspect collateral properties. The Successful Applicant Bachelors degree required in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Mathematics, or other related fields. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical and critical thinking skills; attention to detail; and ability to multi-task. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, proficiency in Word and Power Point. Knowledge of Argus is a plus. Interest in commercial real estate, financial markets, and risk management. Knowledge of real estate finance concepts, and the ability to analyze financial statements.
