Traveling Superintendent - Healthcare Construction

Large Pipeline of work across the Southeast Great opportunity for an experienced construction professional About Our Client Our client is a nationally recognized general contractor with a strong healthcare portfolio, completing projects for major hospital systems, private healthcare groups, and specialized medical providers. They are known for excellent field support, high safety expectations, and deep expertise in infection control, lifesafety compliance, and the technical demands of healthcare construction. Job Description Lead all onsite activities for healthcare construction projects from mobilization through closeout. Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, medical equipment vendors, and internal teams to keep work on schedule. Enforce stringent safety protocols, ICRA/ILSM procedures, and hospitalspecific compliance requirements. Oversee work in active, occupied healthcare environments while maintaining zero disruptions to patient care. Review drawings, specs, and medical system details to ensure accuracy and quality. Manage jobsite logistics, phasing plans, temporary controls, and material deliveries. Maintain consistent communication with Project Managers, hospital stakeholders, and facility leadership. Identify field issues early and implement effective solutions to avoid delays. The Successful Applicant Strong superintendent experience in healthcare construction, including hospitals, surgical centers, imaging suites, or other medical facilities. Knowledge of ICRA, ILSM, lifesafety standards, and infectioncontrol protocols. Experience working in active or occupied healthcare environments without disrupting patient operations. Ability to manage complex phasing, shutdowns, MEP coordination, and critical system tieins. Excellent communication skills when working with hospital administrators, medical staff, inspectors, and trade partners. A proactive, detaildriven approach with strong problemsolving capabilities. The ability to travel nationwide for project durations as needed. A strong safetyfirst mindset and proven track record of managing highrisk jobsite environments.
