Join a dynamic healthcare organization in the Pacific Northwest region as an Associate Buyer on a per diem basis. This role is essential in managing the procurement and inventory of medical and operational supplies, ensuring smooth clinical and operational workflows. Job Summary Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and Supervisor, the Associate Buyer oversees purchasing activities, inventory control, and vendor coordination using advanced ERP systems like Workday. This position supports supply chain continuity by managing requisitions, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with contracts and policies. Key Responsibilities Procure approved medical and operational supplies through Workday requisition workflows and punchout integrations. Ensure compliance with group purchasing organization contracts, public policies, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with Accounts Payable to verify order accuracy, pricing, and timely payments. Manage product returns, recalls, exchanges, and backorders, communicating updates to relevant teams. Anticipate supply needs and proactively notify management and internal customers of potential disruptions. Support inventory management efforts and assist with freight check-in, transfers, and stocking as needed. Maintain and update ERP system data, including item master files and supply templates. Identify and recommend process improvements within supply chain workflows. Lead or assist with special projects and policy development as directed. Education and Experience 1-2 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis. Experience in healthcare or clinical settings is highly preferred. Associate's degree in business, supply chain, healthcare administration, or related field preferred. Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) certification is a plus but not required. Skills and Abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills across clinical and non-clinical teams. Familiarity with ERP systems such as Workday. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in supply-sensitive environments.
